L’oreal Paris Runway Two Vogue Australia (LMFF 2011)

L’oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival has well and truly kicked off. Apologies for the late post but I’ve been shooting  everyday and it has been absolutely fantastic and busy.

The major runways were held at the recently renovated Docklands this year, claiming a beautiful wide space aside the pier. Runway Two was hosted by Vogue Australia and presented the Designers’ Award to upcoming and established Australian labels. Have a look:-

Song for the Mute

Lui Hon, my fav of the night. Effortless chic.

Laurence Pasquier

I adored the feminine skirts from Ellery, the colors at Laurence Pasquier and the jackets from Arnsdorf. Highlight of course was Lui Hon who presented some beautiful draping and textures in his collection while still retaining its elegant simplicity.

The winner was announced: Song for the Mute for presenting a new look into men’s fashion. Well done to the fresh duo Melvin Tanaya and Lyna Ty behind the label.

After the show, face of LMFF Melissa George stopped by foran interview:

LMFF continues for the rest of the week, be sure to pop by the site to catch other events and programs.
